October 13-16, 2011 — Aspen, CO. During John Denver Tribute week Ron entertained fans throughout the weekend at the Mountain Chalet and Limelight Lodge. He entertained song requests of John Denver music ranging from well-known popular songs to the more obscure music as well as participating in energetic jam sessions with other musicians. With his band Spirit, he is already booked to play a 90-minute concert at next year’s JD Tribute week.

August, 2011 — House Concert, Delevan, NY. Old friends, lots of requests and a great time!
August, 2011 — Ron was invited again to present a 2-hour concert benefitting the Boy Scouts in Delevan, NY. The program included familiar songs by John Denver, Garth Brooks, Randy Travis and other well-known pop and country artists. Joining Ron onstage this year was acoustic guitarist Dave Stratford and percussionist Marsha Howard. Proceeds and donations went to Boy Scout Troop #627.
August, 2011 — Live promo interview on WCJW Radio with Lee Richey for the show on Aug. 14 at the Stage in Warsaw, NY. 1/2 hour, 3 live-performed songs. Was heard on 103.7 fm Warsaw, 105.5 fm Batavia, 100.9 Geneseo, 1140 am Warsaw.

August, 2011 — 2nd Annual John Denver Tribute Show “Always With You”, at Scoops Ice Cream, Delevan, NY. All John Denver music for 2 hours. Favorites included -- Annie's Song, Rocky Mountain High, Country Roads, Sunshine on My Shoulders.
August, 2011 — Concert performance on the beautiful stage at The Stage, Warsaw, NY. 2 hours of country, folk and pop, with Dave Stratford adding mellow acoustic sounds on his new Taylor 6 string, and percussionist Marsha Howard.
July, 2011 — This was a bring-your-own-beverage lawn chair event, featuring Ron Matthews and Friends jamming out on some original music and great country and pop tunes in Coweta, OK.
May, 2011 — In a solo acoustic performance, Ron sang for 40 minutes as the opening act for the Arcade Area Community Theater murder mystery presentation of “You Have the Right to Remain Dead,” in Delevan, NY. Proceeds benefitted the local Kiwanis Club.
August, 2010 — Ron performed at an outdoor benefit for Boy Scout Troop 627 in Delevan, NY in front of an crowd of 75+ fans and friends, with a mix of country, pop and folk tunes.
August, 2010 — 2-hour outdoor tribute to the music of John Denver at Scoops Ice Cream, Delevan , NY . Songs included Take Me Home, Country Roads, Back Home Again, Calypso and many others, as well as Ron’s original composition, John’s Song (The Song Will Never Die).
Cattaraugus County Bicentennial, Wagon Train Extravaganza. Ron was one of several acts to perform for the wagoneers at the Yorkshire, NY overnight stop during their 2-week covered-wagon trek around the perimeter of the county.
Mix of 90's and classic country at a couple's 50th Wedding Anniversary Party in Springfield, TN. The playlist included several Roy Rogers songs, which Ron was happy to learn at the client's request. 2 hours, 2-musician set.
Double header — Two-musician performance at an outdoor patio House Concert in beautiful Brentwood, TN. A 2-hour program of background music featuring a wide-ranging variety playlist. The duo was invited back a short time later to again provide the night’s entertainment for an elegant indoor Retirement Dinner. Additional John Denver songs were added to the playlist at client's request.
